Community Needs Assessment Report Now Available!

In the winter of 2023, the Wildwood Park District conducted a comprehensive Community Needs Assessment Survey to gain insight into the needs within our community, strengths and areas of improvement of the Park District, and otherwise gather ideas, interests, and opinions from our residents. Old Plank Park Ribbon Cutting Dedication Ceremony and Grand Opening

Old Plank Park Grand Opening! You are invited! Come out on April 11, 2025 at 6:00pm for a ribbon cutting/dedication ceremony (weather permitting) with remarks from the Wildwood Park District and Gagewood Lions Club. Light refreshments will be available.

Parents Night Out- 3/28 from 6-8:30pm

Parents, are you looking for an evening without the kids? Need a break during spring break? We’ve got you covered! Drop the kids off (age 5+) for a fun movie night (pajamas encouraged!), pizza dinner, dessert, activities, games, and crafts. Click here to register or learn more.

Spring Tea Party- 4/5 from 10-11:30am

You are cordially invited to dress in your best tea party attire and sip coffee, tea, and lemonade while enjoying tasty pastries at our elegant tea party! There will be a photo op area and spring tea party craft where each child will get a keepsake photo! Disney Princess Belle from Beauty and the Beast will be making a special guest appearance! Family Storytime- 4/9 (Free)

Families and tots age 2-5 are invited to join us for this age-appropriate storytime led by Warren-Newport Public Library. Storytime helps children with early language, pre-reading, focus, social, and motor skills through stories, rhymes, songs, and fun! Click here to register or learn more.

Basic Dog Obedience Class- Begins 4/23

Get your pup ready for summer and dog-friendly patio season! In this eight-week basic introduction to on leash obedience skills class, we provide you with the tools and knowledge to teach your dog to be a well-mannered companion. We will cover heel position, sit, sit stay, down, down stay, and come. The goal of this class is to teach your dog to be calm and neutral around other dogs and distractions. Classes are taught by Katie Delafont- dog trainer, owner of Noble K-9 Dog Training, and Wildwood resident. Click here to register or learn more.

Easter Egg Hunt- 4/26 at 11am

Hop on over to Rule Park for an egg hunt eggstravaganza for kids and dogs! Hunt areas will be divided by children’s age and dog’s size. Find the lucky golden egg and win a special gift basket prize! Event is rain or shine so please dress for the weather. Don’t forget to bring a basket! We respectfully ask that you limit children to 10 and dogs to 5 eggs each. Kids must be with an adult and dogs must be friendly and leashed. Click here to learn more.

Press Release: Boat Launch Key and Pavilion/Room Rental Changes Take Effect March 2025

2025 Consolidated Elections

PUBLIC NOTICE: Wildwood Park District Board of Commissioners 2025 Consolidated Elections. The Wildwood Park District will have three (3) board commissioner seats up for election in the 2025 Consolidated Elections. The election for office will take place on April 1, 2025 when potential candidates can vie for three seats, including two full six-year terms and one unexpired two-year term.
