Schoolhouse Adventures Community Preschool staff is dedicated to preparing your child for kindergarten by learning through play and hands-on experiences. We believe children benefit most by being exposed to a variety of information that will build upon their interests and natural curiosity. We also believe that connecting children with nature is an essential part of their growth and we commit to giving children learning opportunities outdoors so they can gain an understanding of the world around them. Each class has its own age appropriate curriculum to better prepare them for kindergarten. Our program is designed to integrate social, emotional, physical, and academic development to meet the needs of the whole child. Classes use both teacher-directed lessons and child-directed activities.
Schoolhouse Adventures Community Preschool is committed to basing our preschool’s weekly themes and curriculum with nature in mind. Children will have as many opportunities as possible during good weather months to learn outside and immerse themselves into nature. Learning outside will incorporate short hikes, free play, center activities outside, circle time, gardening and more.
