Egg Hunt

KIDS EGG HUNT (11AM)

Hop along and find eggs filled with candy and toys hidden in Rule Park! Hunt areas will be divided by age. One lucky golden egg will be hidden in each area. Find the lucky golden egg and receive a special prize! NO PREREGISTRATION REQUIRED. This event is rain or shine, so please dress for the weather. When you arrive, line up near your age division. Note: We respectfully ask parents to limit their children to 7 eggs so everyone gets their share. Don’t forget to bring a basket!

DOG EGG HUNT (11:30AM)
Leash up your pup and hop on over to Rule Park for an egg hunt that is just for dogs! Owners must stay with their dog at all times. Please bring a basket or bag for collecting eggs. Each dog may collect up to 5 treat-filled eggs. NO PREREGISTRATION REQUIRED.

Park Appreciation Day

Join the Wildwood Park District team in improving/cleaning our parks!  On this day, we will come together to make our parks cleaner and more enjoyable.  We will begin at 9:00am, bring gloves and garden tools.  At 12:00pm we will serve refreshments at Rule Park.

Movie in the Park: featuring Puss in Boots the Last Wish & Tropical Chill Ice Cream Truck

Come out to Rule Park and enjoy Puss in Boots the Last Wish! The bounce house and concessions will open at 7:30pm and the movie will begin at 8:45pm.  Snacks and beverages will be available for purchase. Please register by Monday, June 5th. Bring blankets, chairs, and bug spray!  In case of severe weather, the reschedule date is Friday, June 16th.

Gages Lake Conservation Committee’s 17th Annual Carp Fishing Derby

The Carp Fishing Derby is sponsored by Gages Lake Conservation Committee and Gagewood Lions Club in cooperation with Wildwood Park District. An Illinois Fishing License is required. Registration will take place at the Willow Point Park Pavilion.  Some fishing poles will be available for use, or you may bring your own.  Basic fishing instruction will be provided for beginners. All ages are welcome, but children must be supervised by an adult. Prizes will be awarded for each age group.

Blues Soiree at the Park featuring Matt Meyer Band & Da Local Boy Food Truck

Come join us for some relaxing Live Blues Band Music at Willow Point Park featuring the Matt Meyer Band. It’s a free event with a Mardi Gras theme. Wear your favorite Mardi Gras attire, bring your chair or blanket, bug spray, money for food truck, anchor your boat and partake in the fun!

Family Campout

Bring out the family for a night under the stars! Enjoy stargazing and games at our campout at Rule Park. Families will come, set up camp, play games, and spend the night.  Snacks will be provided in the evening and on the morning of the 22nd.  Preregistration is required by Monday, July 17th.  In case of severe weather, the reschedule date is July 28th .

National Night Out

Join the Wildwood Park District and neighbors as we gather for National Night Out, an annual community-building campaign that promotes police-community partnership and neighborhood camaraderie to make Wildwood a safer, more caring place to live. We will have live music, food trucks, kids activities, safety demonstration, and more!

Paddle the Lake

Paddle the Lake is a day full of friendly competitions including a kayak race, paddle boat race, and a paddle board race. Please pre-register by Friday, August 18th.  Refreshments and treats will be provided during the day’s events.
