Calling Wildwood Residents and fishing enthusiasts! The Wildwood Park District is happy to offer for the first time a fly fishing seminar at Rule House to explain the basics of fly fishing; concept, set up, casting principles, fly selection, and basic casting instruction with a miniature indoor casting rod. Once the seminar is complete, outdoor group casting will begin at Valley Lake South Park that weekend.
This program is taught by an experienced fly fishing volunteer instructor hailing from the Bass Pro Shops fly fishing instruction department. Participants are encouraged to bring their own fly fishing rods and equipment as the instructor has limited supply of extra rods. Outdoor classes are weather permitting and the Wildwood Park District has the right to reschedule classes or prorate fees if necessary.
