When Does Registration Begin?

Registration for all summer camps, programs, and events begins Monday, April 15th at 9:00am for residents, and Monday, April 22nd at 9:00am for non-residents.

How Quickly Do Spots Fill?

Fast! We recommend viewing our website and 2024 Summer Brochure (hard copy coming early April and digital version coming March 25th!) prior to open registration and having all your favorite programs picked out ahead of time so you can enroll as soon as registration opens. Our Summer camps, programs, and events are our most popular with children being on summer break, and with how fun and action packed they are!

Tot Camp (Age 3-5)

Tot Camp provides children ages 3-5, who haven’t been to kindergarten yet, a chance to engage in activities and build social skills. Tot Camp is designed to provide your little one with physical, mental, and social activities. Tots will get creative with themed arts and crafts, free choice indoor/outdoor play, music, and stories. Children will have a blast going on nature walks, playing games outside, and being active with friends on our age-appropriate playground. Participants will receive a snack each day, provided by the Park District. We ask children to bring their own water bottles. Children must be toilet-trained and have not entered kindergarten. Children should bring a swimsuit and towel on Tuesdays for water activities, which include sprinkler fun, sponges, and more at Rule Park. Please pre-register by the Wednesday before each session begins (5/29, 6/19, and 7/10).

What to Bring to Camp Each Day (please label all items)

Backpack
Change of clothes
Filled re-fillable water bottle
Sunscreen and bug spray (arrive already applied – sunscreen/bug spray is for reapplying). *Camp staff are prohibited from applying sunscreen on your child for any reason*
Swimsuit and towel (Tuesdays)

What to Wear to Camp Each Day

Comfortable weather-appropriate clothing that can get messy
Close toed shoes
Already applied sunscreen and bug spray

Snacks/Drinks

One snack provided by Park District each day
Please send your child with their own water bottle each day

Check In/Out

Check in is located inside program entrance on west side of building
Campers must be checked in and out each day
Drop off begins at 9am and pick up is at 12pm
$1 per minute late fee applied for pick up after 12pm

Allergies/Medication

Please note all allergies and any medication your child needs to take at camp on your Camper Information Form
If necessary, we will provide an additional form for more details

Camp Rules! (Age 6-11)

Connections, creativity, and fun are what Camp Rules! is all about. Our summer day camp is designed for campers to experience an action-packed summer outdoors and make new friends. Participants will spend most of their time outdoors enjoying the natural amenities of Wildwood. Each day, Camp Rules! offers new and exciting activities. A typical day consists of arts and crafts, physical activities, songs, games, snacks, and lunch. Campers will also enjoy swimming in Gages Lake twice a week on Tuesdays and Thursdays, as well as one field trip per three-week session. No Camp 7/4 in observance of 4th of July. Please pre-register by the Wednesday before each session begins (5/29, 6/19, and 7/10).

REGISTRATION

Three 3-week sessions are available for Camp Rules! Registration for the first session does not guarantee your child a spot for second and third sessions. You must register by the Wednesday before each session begins.
Children can register for camp 5 days a week, or 3 days a week. If you opt for 3 days a week, you will be asked to pick 3 days of the week when you register. These days will be the same throughout the session.
Deposits can be made to hold your spot in a session and will be applied toward full payment. Deposit per session is $50.00 and is non-refundable. Full payment must be made by the Wednesday before the session begins. If full payment is not received by this time, the deposit will be forfeited.
Registration may be done in person, online, by mail, or fax. Deposits cannot be made online.
A Camp Handbook will be given or emailed to you at the time of registration. It will also be available online at www.wildwoodparkdistrict.com. This handbook contains information you need to know before sending your child to camp.

Junior Camp Counselor (Age 12-14)

Youth, ages 12-14, may register for our Junior Counselor-in-training program. Participants assist our counselor staff in the planning and administration of camp activities. Each Junior Counselor will have the opportunity to work with each age group with hands-on activities. This program is a great chance to learn skills that may help land that first job. Junior Counselor fees include snack, supplies and a Camp T-shirt (one t-shirt per person per summer). No Camp 7/4 in observance of 4th of July.

Before Camp Care (Age 3-11)

Before Camp Care is for families who need to drop their camper off earlier than the scheduled time. Parents can drop off their camper between 8:00am and 9:00am for an extra fee. No Camp 7/4 in observance of 4th of July. Please pre-register by the Wednesday before each session begins (5/29, 6/19, and 7/10).
