Public Notice: Willow Point Park Shoreline Stabilization Project Update 4/8/2026

The Willow Point Park Shoreline Stabilization Project is near completion to protect and restore the shoreline along Gages Lake at Willow Point Park. Work was contracted out to Balanced Environments LLC. Work that had been completed includes the reshaping of the previous shoreline, laying down of geotextile fabric, installation of 4RR Rip Rap above and below the water line to complete the stabilization of the inner cove; and the installation of 24″-36″ granite boulders to enhance and stabilize the shoreline around the “Point” and park shoreline directly facing Gages Lake up until the beach area. The final phase of the project will involve in-house grass seeding to restore disturbed areas as well as final post-construction contractor and permitting authority review.
