Class Reminders/Changes

The Wildwood Park District does not send activity reminders.  Please mark your calendars when registering for programs and events.  The district makes every effort to ensure classes are held as planned.  In the event of unforeseen emergencies, it sometimes become necessary to cancel, postpone or reschedule programs.  You will be notified if any of these situations occur.  The district works to see that the fewest participants are inconvenienced as possible.  Late registration for classes in progress will only be accepted if openings exist with no reduction in fees.

Refund Policy

Requests for refunds from any program must be made no later than 5 working days prior to the start of class.  Refunds will be mailed (or applied to your originally charged credit card) within 15 days of the request.  Please note that there is a 20%, maximum $10 per program, processing fee on all refunds.  If class is cancelled due to insufficient registration, the entire fee paid will be funded.  No refunds will be issued after the start of a program without a medical excuse.

Late Pickup Policy

A late fee will be charged to any guardian arriving 5 or more minutes after the program's published end-time, when it has been determined that no reasonable explanation exists for the tardiness.  The fee is $1.00 per minute after the first initial 5 minutes has passed.  This policy applies to all Wildwood Park District programs, including the Schoolhouse Adventures Preschool.  A complete copy of this policy is available upon request.

Behavior Code of Conduct

The Wildwood Park District has established certain rules necessary to ensure everyone's safety and enjoyment of programs and events.  Proper behavior is expected from each participant at all times.  This includes showing respect to all participants, staff, equipment, supplies and facilities.  Participants are also expected to refrain from the use of foul language, causing bodily harm, making threats and committing acts of violence.  Additional policies may be developed for specific programs if necessary.

Financial Assistance

Financial Assistance for recreation programs is available to qualifying residents in the district.  A matching funds program, with up to a 50% cap, is offered when participants are unable to fully cover the costs of their programs.  Those interested in being considered for assistance may obtain an application from the Wildwood Park District office.
